It simply blows me away how one person gets so much media attention when all he seems to do is get involved with bad things. It seems every time he show up in the media it is in connection with another crime of some kind.
Will it ever stop for this man?
Somehow I don’t believe it will. I truly believe that he does not deserve the attention he is getting. How about all the people that are doing good things for people? I think it is very sad that we don’t hear more about those folks. There are plenty of “HERO” stories out there if we just want to find them.
My ability to read all the bad news stories online today is truly not what I was used to Growing Up Amish. We did not have tv, radio, or phones. The only news channel we had access to was the local newspaper. Once in a while I got the chance to read the Eau Claire paper. For the most part I did not care about anything the paper had to say.
When I think back to those days I wonder why I sometimes read the news today. Is it because I really want to know what is going on in the world or do I just want to know what bad things people have done now?
For the most part today we don’t listen to the daily news on TV and I don’t even take the time to listen to the radio for any news. Right after I had left the Amish I thought it was pretty awesome to have access to all this news every day, but as the years have gone by I realize how much all the negativity effects my daily thoughts.
So my question is…..Do we really need to see, listen, or hear about only bad things on the news?
Why not hear something good more often…… I realize there is so much bad stuff to fill up all the news channels but some people just simply don’t deserve to be in the news yet again………especially when connected to a crime per US law.
